Public relations is a communication process that builds relationships between ogranizations and audiences.
The communication is strategic and targeted; and the relationship should be mutually beneficial.
This training teaches participants how to promote a positive image of an organization’s goals, programs and services, and how to maximize its impact in a cost-effective manner.
After receiving the technical assistance participants will be able to:
- Define public relations terminology
- Understand the impact public relations has on increasing awareness of your organization
- Identify target audiences
- Describe various methods of engaging the community
- Develop and execute a compelling public relations campaign
Our trainings are available to directly funded community based organizations free of charge.
Please request trainings using the CBA Request Information System (CRIS) and ask for NCHP.
In some circumstances, if you are unable to access the system directly, your local health department may be able to request on your behalf.
